I’m from Germany and brought the sourdoughmate starter flakes—which had already been activated in Melbourne—back in a jar in my suitcase on my return trip to Hamburg. The suitcases were lost on the return trip and didn’t arrive until 12 days later. The sourdough starter had dried out. I reactivated it, and to my great delight, it’s working just as well as before. My first gluten-free sourdough bread turned out very well. I highly recommend the starter flakes. The finished bread has a wonderful texture and crumb and tastes excellent. As a coeliac and mother of 2 coeliacs I have been putting up with unpalatable gluten free bread for 30 years. Husband bought me the gluten free sour dough kit for Christmas. What a game changer. Since that first purchase I have been using the gf sourdough bread flour.Always get consistent results in taste. The only variable is human error but the gf flour mix is very easy to use and gives great results.

First time ever making gluten free bread. The kit and videos provided everything needed. I was afraid I’d mess it up, but was so happy with the result. I did end up adding apple cider vinegar, olive oil, sugar and 1 tspn of instant yeast. The bread proved quicker than expected and the result was phenomenal.

The Tojiro bread knife is a game changer. I’m so happy with the ease that it cuts through bread. I’ve forbidden anyone to use it other than for bread.
